Stranded! Leadership

PSHE & Citizenship

This series of two 55-minute lessons introduce students aged 14-16 to simple, actionable principles of leadership that they can apply to make positive changes in their own lives.

The topic is explored through a scenario, following four characters temporarily stranded on an island overnight. Immersive, character-focused films help set the scene, and students take time to consider how each character might respond to various leadership scenarios while on the island.

Students then identify opportunities to lead themselves towards success and identify ways to personally apply the six principles of leadership to benefit their own development.

The Stranded! Leadership resources support delivery of the PSHE/Health and Wellbeing curriculums. Each lesson can be delivered independently but works best if both are delivered in sequence. Teacher’s notes, student slides, films and activity sheets are all provided.
