Age: 14–16

Time requirement: 60 minutes

Challenge students use their knowledge of network topologies, data forms and barriers to install the most efficient, high performing and cost-efficient network for the Army Intelligence Corps.

In this session students review key networking fundamentals, applying them to a real-world Army scenario. Students will model different networks, analysing the pros and cons of different topology and components, working as a team to create the best version possible and present their design.

The Computer Networks resource reinforces key learning in the Computing curriculum as well as enhancing team work, problem solving and data analysis skills. It aligns to the Gatsby Benchmarks for careers education.
