Age: 11–16

Time requirement: assembly 20 minutes, lesson 60 minutes

Confidence isn’t innate, it is built over time and is an important aspect of mental wellbeing. By trying things outside of our comfort zone, we learn to believe in ourselves.

Including an assembly and lesson, the resources dispel common myths surrounding confidence, discuss confidence-building situations and explore how we can overcome challenges to develop a growth mindset. Including case studies and a reflection film from personnel in a range of roles, from engineering to music, the resource provides practical advice, examples and techniques to develop confidence that lasts a lifetime.

This Army Confidence resources can be used independently or as a set with the assembly introducing the topic and the lesson exploring the topic in more detail in a PSHE / Health and Wellbeing session, or series of personal development sessions during form time.
