Well-Being

A strong support network can be critical in helping young people through the stress of tough times, whether they’ve had a bad day at school, or a year filled with loss. A lack of social support can lead to isolation and loneliness.

In this lesson students will:
• Learn why support networks are important
• Be able to explain the different types of support
• Be able to analyse some of the barriers to seeking support and how to overcome these barriers

The lesson is supported with an engaging film that gives the topic real-life context and provides excellent discussion points for your class on Support Networks.
