Operational Hygiene Squadron

As part of the Army’s largest Reserve Regiment, under the command of 104 Logistic Theatre Sustainment Brigade, we are the British Army’s only dedicated Operational Hygiene Squadron. Our mission is simple but essential: to provide deployable laundry and shower facilities that keep soldiers healthy, clean, and ready for operations.

We primarily support field hospitals, ensuring medical teams and recovering patients have reliable hygiene services during critical missions. However, our capability is available to all troops, wherever they are deployed.

Operational Hygiene plays a vital role in:

• Maintaining health and preventing infection

• Boosting morale during sustained operations

• Supporting rehabilitation and recovery

• Enabling field hospitals to function effectively in challenging environments

Joining A Company 7th Battalion, The Rifles, you’ll get the opportunity to get involved in everything that the Regular Army does.
